scrubjayspeaksSorry for the lack of post yesterday, as well as the late posting for this month's garden club. I had to go out of town for some appointments, which ended up being even more long and involved than originally planned. (Love when people reschedule appointments that have been on the books for months. Cool and helpful.) By the time I got home, it was not worth it to get involved with writing posts.
On the plus side, my eye bits continue to function normally. Now I have a fresh, albeit unchanged, prescription for glasses. As mine are battered to the point of the various coatings peeling off in places, this is most welcome. I have a mighty need.
Meanwhile, my hair color arrived, and...they sent the wrong thing. The orange is right, the black is missing. So now I'm waiting on a response from their customer service people to arrange for them to send me the correct thing, which I am under the impression is something they will do post haste. I'm disappointed, because I really wanted to start messing about with it this weekend, but I am--allegedly--capable of some measure of patience.
Finally, because apparently I'm on a roll when it comes to spending money right now, I bought an Instant Pot. There was a really good sale, plus free shipping. And I needed to buy a new spatula anyway, which is totally a reason to also order a futuristic, fuck-off crockpot. (I joke. I was going to buy the Instant Pot anyway, as I've been debating it for something like three years now. Adding the spatula to the order was just a convenient way to deal with the current spatula breaking.)
I...I have been hemming and hawing over buying one for so long now, I'm no longer sure what I plan to do with one. This will not be a problem for long--I have never in my life had difficulty figuring out a list of foods I wish to cook. At the moment, though, I'm just thinking, "oh gods, there's a crockpot smarter than most humans headed to my house and I am not prepared!" On the plus side, it was probably a way more practical Excessive Kitchen Gadget to buy than a charcoal grill, which is the other cooking implement I've been coveting lately.
