Really, properly raining today. I'm more bitter than ever that they bullied me into working today. If they had let me have my day off, I would be sitting at home, listening to the rain come down. Which is basically one of the nicest sensations known to human life.
Meanwhile, my machine at work has suddenly decided that it's being overworked as well. It's been misbehaving since I started it up this morning, and no one knows why. It's supposed to be the last day of production for this job, which will give me just enough time to wash and dry the wretched things over the next two days.
And it's doing that fun thing where it runs fine if the person looking at it would know how to fix the problem, but it freaks out when no one useful is observing. Apparently several of us just...collectively hallucinated it not running. Cool, cool.
I am, at least, getting to listen to podcasts, which brings me to a significantly less dire problem: I'm running low on episodes. With so many shows on break for the holiday, I don't have the regular influx of eps to fold into the Walkman environment. Also, I just listened to the last episode of the Jack the Ripper series on Unobscured. Realistically, none of this is a problem, insofar as there are so many podcasts in the world, I will definitely be able to come up with something to listen to. But what? (Not actually seeking recs--seriously, I'm subscribed to so many as it is--just carrying on about something that doesn't make me want to cry.)
