We managed to shoehorn in one last hiccup in my vacation plans. It's not worth getting into. Suffice to say, changing from one software system to another within a large company is...interesting for all involved. My days off have been approved AGAIN, though, which I'm taking as a positive sign I'll actually get to have them. I am taking nothing for granted. I will trust nothing until I have left the facility tomorrow afternoon without being detained, accosted, nudged, or otherwise tormented about this.
Meanwhile, seed order #2 of 3 arrived today. A different set of wildflowers, which may or may not do well here but will be fun to play with, and bushel gourd, which will replace the giant pumpkin patch as this year's squash-themed experiment. And I got a shipping notification on the last set, too.
We've got a big storm blowing in this week, and the clouds looked absolutely wild while I drove home. There was a big swath of them that looked like someone had tethered a sheet to the ground--a huge, flat expanse that stretched down much farther than the rest of the normal, fluffy pre-storm clouds. I don't know if that was a localized downpour or what. I've never seen clouds like that.
