The conjunction of tornados and rains of frogs was likewise said to celebrate the happy coupling of dragons (or in variation: waterspouts, fish, and sea serpents, according to one’s ancestral origins). Residents that spring shuddered to think of the union presaged by thunder and meteor showers together.
