Today's Keyboard Smash

We had a long drive out of town and back yesterday, during which I read almost all of Six Harvests in Lea, Texas to mum. I've been pestering her to read the hard copy I bought, and this is always the best way to get her to consume stories. She's obsessed with it now, as is right and proper, and I am substantially hoarse, as is inevitable from approximately six hours of narration.

Now, unfortunately, I am a shattered shell of a human, desperately trying to catch up on my normal weekend (self-imposed) tasks. Also, I went out and removed weeds in the garden at high noon, so I am a dehydrated and sun-sick shattered shell of a human. Goddammit, Jay, will you ever learn?
