The infestations started to crop up as summer took hold, and soon it seemed like everyone knew at least three people unwillingly hosting a colony. The pond, the swampy lowland, the persistently damp spot just between the garden planters and the back wall--heat dried up all the normal habitats, so they took to the streams within our veins. The frogs had needed somewhere to spawn, and humans, in the end, were mostly water.
