Fossil Fest will take place this weekend out at the Lakeside Visitor Center and surrounding area, with over 100 booths and educational displays about fossils and paleontology. Lewisia-specific fossil records will be highlighted, including what are believed to be the prehistoric ancestors of the lake monster. Ethically sourced fossils, replicas, and merchandise will all be available for sale, and several companies will be taking preorders for the next year's resurrected lifeforms.
