She had been called a muse by some, a parasite by others, and a daydream, a hallucination, and an angel by turns, none of which explained to her or to others why it was she lived only in the mind of a host. She supposed "muse" might be closest, since she had encouraged a number of writers and artists over the years, if only because she needed her host to share her existence at least once so she could make the jump to a new home.
