Knowing she would be locked up in a windowless office building all day, she took advantage of the outdoors whenever she could. She ripped copies of parks and sunsets and the lakeshore, downloading them into her heart so she could carry them with her. It wasn’t strictly legal, and sometimes the trees had bugs or the sky glitched out green and purple like an aurora, but she considered it a matter of survival.
