The bassist of Bears for Mama looked up from the bar when a drink slid into his line of vision, pulling his focus from listening to the band that had followed his own. “You don’t look like much of a bear,” the man beside him observed with a smirk, as though he had said something terribly clever about the bassist’s relative hairlessness and lanky build. The bassist, whose ability to transform into several hundred pounds of Kodiak fortunately depended heavily on gorging himself first and not, say, on control of his emotional state, just smiled with a very normal number and size of teeth.
