What did I just say about NOT kicking me down the stairs?!
So let’s see. Finally heard from the surgeon, picked one of the consult dates they offered, got told (via an email at one in the morning???) that wasn’t available anymore, so picked another.
Came down with the cold my father brought home from work. Went home sick. Opted to take pre-op photos to submit to the surgeon instead of resting.
Got sicker and stayed home from work. Found out my letter of support is insufficient. Spent the day calling offices to see if the letter can be rewritten (no), finding an alternate source for a letter of support, contacting them and doing all the pre-appointment paperwork instead of resting.
Couldn’t hear out of one ear and developed wracking cough. Went back to work instead of resting, still sick and now also stressed about multiple appointments.
That was only five days! Most of that was just Tuesday and Wednesday! Please! I am only one small, sad life form, and that is too much!
Lewisia: just a bonus piece written, because *hands*
Day job: 30.25 hours, after going home early and missing a day
Cooking: crunchy seed braid with an added half cup chopped walnuts, which might be the most delicious thing I’ve ever tasted, so the Quest for the Ideal Seed Loaf is off to a roaring start
Gardening: garden club post, seeds arrived in the post
Reading: finished Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo and am devastated to learn that it continues in the next book because the waitlist at the library is 10 weeks long--I’m going to have to buy something, aren’t I?
Watching: after getting Netflix to watch the live-action Yu Yu Hakusho (I swear I’ll write about it at some point), I’m trying to justify keeping the subscription and have ended up watching Card Captor Sakura of all things :D
Listening: No Place in Heaven by MIKA (I wasn’t expecting to continue in the faintly orchestral, jazzy sound, but here we are, MIKA is always just a solid good time)
Aftermarket Parts: reserved a consult time with the surgeon, filled out all the paperwork, took and submitted photos of myself, submitted goal photos, requested an appointment for a (new) letter of support, got the insurance coverage confirmation (which isn’t an approval, but it gives me a sense of what I’m potentially on the hook for)
