Those who moved away, however good their reasons or satisfying their new lives, often found themselves missing some unreproducible detail of life in Lewisa. Some things, like jars of knowledge honey from Accidental Libraries or pine stick candy from Fendler’s, could be shipped out by family or friends to satisfy the craving. Other things required more effort, and one could only hope they had friends sufficiently dedicated to lurk outside bedroom windows dressed as mothmen or sneak in to replace all the loose change with acorns overnight to mimic the full Lewisian experience.
