Lake Lewisia #1368
Mar. 11th, 2026 04:36 pmThe fog muffled sounds like cotton batting, until only the hum of the electrical lines gave any sense of space or time. As people stepped out into the gray morning, they found themselves rendered mute as well, farewells to family and greetings to carpooling coworkers tapering off into nothing. Most hurried back indoors, coughing to clear the fog from their lungs, but some remained outdoors, enjoying the quiet, even and especially their own.
