Done This Week
Aug. 13th, 2023 05:18 pmCame close to having an actual meltdown at work. This may have been the worst week I’ve had there yet. Despite getting help from multiple people, I still ended the week feeling like I hadn’t actually reduced my workload in any way.
Got into it with members of another team, for whom I provide support despite it being essentially outside my job description, to the point that my supervisor had to intervene on my behalf. Probably more fallout from that this coming week.
Flare continues to be terrible. Though in fairness, it’s hard to tell which pains are from the flare and which are from severe overwork. I’m tempted to request a last-minute use of PTO--something I never do--just to keep my physical and mental health from getting much worse.
It was a bad, bad time.
Lewisia: 3 new pieces, plus another bonus piece written
Day job: 44.5 hours, and unquantifiable amounts of sadness
Cooking: more adventures in Baking Yesteryear--peanut butter styrofoams (essentially a peanut butter meringue cookie, delightful but did not keep all that well to the next day)
Cleaning: absolutely ravaged the t-shirt, tank top, and trouser sections of my dresser, along with the winter tops and sweaters box, bagged it all up to donate (someday...), and reorganized the remaining clothing
Gardening: garden club post, went to an event at a newly opened demonstration garden
Listening: Killers by Iron Maiden (having trouble getting into it, which is probably more of a me issue, though Prodigal Son stands out right away)
Aftermarket Parts: two months~~ <3, and sometimes the gender stuff feels like the only thing going right in my life
